Returns & Refund Policy

This Returns & Refund Policy explains how returns, replacements and refunds are handled for orders placed through Wholesale Plant Shop.


1. About Wholesale Plant Shop

Wholesale Plant Shop Ltd operates a business-to-business wholesale plant marketplace connecting trade buyers with plant growers, wholesalers and suppliers.

Products sold through our platform may be supplied by:

  • Wholesale Plant Shop Ltd
  • Third-party growers
  • Third-party plant suppliers

Where products are supplied by third-party sellers, returns and refunds may be processed in coordination with the relevant supplier.


2. Business Customers

Wholesale Plant Shop primarily supplies trade and business customers including:

  • Garden centres
  • Plant retailers
  • Landscapers
  • Interior plant businesses
  • Horticultural professionals

As purchases are made for business purposes, statutory consumer cancellation rights may not apply.


3. Perishable Products

Plants are living and perishable products, and natural variation should be expected.

Plants may vary in:

  • Size
  • Shape
  • Growth stage
  • Colour
  • Leaf quantity

These variations do not constitute defects and are not valid grounds for returns or refunds.

Product images are representative and may not exactly match the plant received.


4. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please notify us as soon as possible after delivery.

When reporting an issue, please include:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the product
  • Photographs of packaging if damage occurred during transit

This information helps us investigate the issue with the supplier or courier.


5. Reporting Timeframe

Due to the perishable nature of plants, any issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Reports received outside this timeframe may not be eligible for refund or replacement.


6. Resolution Options

Where a valid issue is confirmed, we may offer one of the following:

  • Replacement product
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

The resolution offered will depend on the circumstances and the supplier involved.


7. Returns

Returns may not always be required for perishable products.

If a return is necessary, we will provide instructions for returning the item.

Items must not be returned without prior approval.

Where returns are authorised:

  • Items must be returned in their original condition where possible
  • Packaging should be retained where practical

Return shipping arrangements may vary depending on the supplier.


8. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable:

  • Live plants that have been planted or repotted
  • Plants that have been kept beyond the reporting timeframe
  • Products damaged due to incorrect handling after delivery
  • Clearance or discounted items (unless faulty)

9. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before they have been dispatched.

Once an order has been processed or dispatched, cancellation may not be possible.

Where an order includes products from multiple suppliers, some items may already be in fulfilment even if others are not.


10. Special Order and Imported Plants

Many plants available through Wholesale Plant Shop are sourced directly from growers and nurseries across Europe, including the Netherlands. In many cases, plants are imported specifically to fulfil a customer order.

Because these plants are ordered and transported specifically for the customer:

  • Orders for these products cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed and confirmed
  • These items are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or incorrect
  • Once an order has been submitted to the grower or supplier, it is considered final and binding

Orders placed for imported or grower-direct plants may already be committed within the European horticultural supply chain shortly after the order is submitted and therefore cannot be amended or cancelled.

Customers should ensure that:

  • Product selections
  • Quantities
  • Delivery details

are correct before completing the order.

Where products are marked as “special order”, “imported to order”, “grower direct”, or similar, the above conditions apply.


11. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be issued using the original payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider but typically take 3–10 working days.


12. Supplier Fulfilled Orders

Where products are supplied by third-party sellers through the Wholesale Plant Shop marketplace:

  • Returns and refunds may require consultation with the supplier
  • Resolution may depend on the supplier’s stock availability and policies

Wholesale Plant Shop Ltd will assist in coordinating resolutions between buyers and suppliers.
