Before uploading
Before You Start
Before uploading your full range:
- Your product tags must be agreed with the Wholesale Plant Shop team
- You must complete the initial 10-product review process outlined in the onboarding guide
This helps ensure your products are correctly structured before scaling.
Do not upload your full range before your first 10 products have been reviewed.
02
Product naming
Product Titles
Product naming
Product Titles
Your product title is one of the most important parts of the listing.
Titles should be clear, descriptive, consistent and easy to understand.
Where relevant, include:
- Product name or species
- Key feature
- Pot size, dimensions or size
- Colour or variation
Avoid ALL CAPITALS, excessive emojis or symbols, overly vague titles and keyword stuffing.
Example
Monstera deliciosa – 17cm Pot | Philodendron Pink Princess – Highly Variegated – 12cm Pot | Black Plastic Nursery Pot – 15cm

Product information
Product Descriptions
Product information
Product Descriptions
Descriptions should clearly explain what the product is, its key features, size or specifications and any important information customers need before purchasing.
Include:
- Pot size, dimensions or measurements
- Approximate height where relevant
- Material or product type
- Colour or variation
- Usage or care information
- Important compatibility information
For plants, include lighting requirements, watering guidance, growth habit, variegation notes and seasonal considerations where relevant.
Descriptions must accurately reflect the product being sold.
Do not overstate variegation, maturity or use stock descriptions that do not match the actual product.
04
Visual standards
Product Images
Visual standards
Product Images
Images are critical to customer confidence and conversion rates.
Images should be clear, high quality, accurately represent the product, use good lighting, show realistic colour and condition, and be well cropped.
For plants, use real images of your own stock where possible and avoid heavily filtered imagery.
Simple, uncluttered backgrounds work best. Lifestyle imagery can also be used where appropriate, but the product should remain clear.

Delivered pricing
Product Pricing
Delivered pricing
Product Pricing
All marketplace products operate using a delivered-price model.
Separate shipping charges are disabled for marketplace sellers.
Your product price must therefore include:
- Delivery
- Packaging
- Handling
- Courier costs
The listed price should be the final delivered price paid by the customer.
Your marketplace price must already include delivery.

Better value
Multi-Quantity Pricing & Variants
Better value
Multi-Quantity Pricing & Variants
Because shipping costs are often absorbed within the first item, we strongly encourage sellers to offer better value on multiple quantities.
Use variants or quantity pricing to encourage larger orders. This improves customer value perception, encourages larger basket sizes and helps offset shipping costs more efficiently.
Example
1 Plant — £14.99 | 3 Plants — £39.99 | 6 Plants — £69.99

Mandatory
Product Tags
Mandatory
Product Tags
Product tags are essential to how the marketplace functions.
They are used to:
- Build collections
- Enable filters
- Improve search and navigation
- Display products correctly across the website
All tags must be agreed with the Wholesale Plant Shop team before listing. Follow naming conventions exactly, apply tags consistently and do not create your own variations.
Incorrect tagging can result in products not displaying correctly.
08
Product structure
Variants
Product structure
Variants

Good uses for variants include:
- Pot sizes
- Colours
- Quantity bundles
- Size variations
- Material options
Example
